Churchill Downs Youth Day!
Saturday, August 1st, 2026 from 1-4pm at Wainwright Park.
Come out for an afternoon of fun for kids of all ages! There will be basketball, group games, water games, a competitive field event challenge, prizes, snacks, and an opportunity to get your bikes tuned up! It is an afternoon you will not want to miss, and a good opportunity to meet other kids in the neighborhood and increase your connection to our community.

š¢ Volunteers Needed for Youth Day!
Last year, we had 50-70 kids of all ages show up for Youth Day! We need more neighbors to make it happen this year! Come volunteer with other Churchill Downs neighbors as you invite kids to games, pass out prizes and snacks, help keep kids on track during the field race event, and make sure kids are safe and having fun during all the water games or on the inflatables!
We will start setting up around 11am and cleanup will be until 5pm

In Churchill Downs, we get together as neighbors to support and initiate activities that benefit our community, work cooperatively to solve problems, and establish communication links between neighbors and local government. This is not like a homeowner's association where residents pay dues; everyone has a part to play!

Our Neighborhood
The CDCA is an active neighborhood organization with boundaries set at Waverly Road to the West, Jolly Road to the South, Holmes Road on the North, and Wainwright Ave on the East.
